Microdermabrasion

Bioscor was one of the first clinics in Victoria to provide a medical-grade microdermabrasion treatment. With more than 15 years experience, we have since perfected our signature treatment. We are confident that we can help you achieve clearer skin.

What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a well-established method for skin resurfacing and rejuvenation. It is a safe, controlled and painless procedure where a stream of the micro-crystals is delivered onto the skin’s surface to allow gentle exfoliation. This strips away the dead and flaking skin cells on the epidermis leaving new and healthy cells on the surface while stimulating the production of collagen.

It is a highly-effective method of treating a range of skin concerns such as:

Microdermabrasion for Acne-prone Skin

The causes of acne are multi-factorial and different for each person. However, in most cases an increase of oil/sebum production leads to dead skin cells physically blocking pores which in turn causes blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, and deeper lumps called cysts or nodules.

While it may be tempting to extract a pimple, whitehead or blackhead yourself, most extractions are not performed properly and cause further inflammation trauma and possibly scarring your skin!

Bioscor’s signature medical-grade microdermabrasion treatment package is different to those performed in your typical medi-spas and beauty salons. Our dermal clinicians are qualified to safely and effectively clear your pores without causing further damage to your skin.

Our signature microdermabrasion is a comprehensive treatment performed by highly-trained dermal clinicians that involves four core modalities:

As there are no quick-fixes for many cases of acne, you may need a series of this treatment to effectively treat acne and clear it.

Where do I start?

As our microdermabrasion & extraction is medical grade, your first step is to book an appointment with one of our Doctors, Nurses or dermal therapists for a skin consultation. Once we identify the causes of your acne, we can help you address your skin issues and put your skin on the road to clear recovery.
