Anti-wrinkle Injections & Dermal Fillers

Wrinkles form for three reasons: years of dynamic facial movements, static forces such as gravity and chronological aging. Bioscor uses a variety of anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers that aim towards making you look younger and more refreshed. All procedures are fast, effective and easy.

Both anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers can be used to treat the following areas on the face:

To give you an idea of how anti-wrinkles and dermal fillers can be used to give you a softer, fresher look, take a look at a case study on Cassandra. Here, both anti-wrinkles and hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are strategically used to achieve the final effect.

The over effect is a subtle rejuvenated look.  The lines are softer, cheeks are fuller; creating a more youthful and refreshed-looking version of herself.*

What are the differences between anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers?

To understand which treatment you need, it would be helpful to understand how wrinkles are formed and learn about the two main type of facial wrinkles: dynamic and static.

  • Dynamic wrinkles form as a result of muscle motion — including the way we express ourselves — as well as from habitual movement, as is the case of vertical lip lines in smokers and crow’s feet in tennis players who often squint in the sun. Anti-wrinkle injections are effective for dynamic wrinkles. These muscle-relaxants are effective for wrinkles between the eyes, crow’s feet and forehead. By relaxing tiny facial muscles that cause expression lines, anti-wrinkles can leave the overlying skin smooth and crease-free.
  • Static wrinkles are caused by gravity, the loss of fat and collagen, and the loss of the skin’s elasticity. Eventually, dynamic wrinkles become static wrinkles. Dermal fillers can be effective for static wrinkles to replace lost volume and re-plump the tissue. Generally two types of fillers are used: a deeper injection of thicker filler which serves to replace lost volume such as in the cheekbone area, and a thinner filler which is used to fill in finer lines around the mouth area.
